Introduction
My name is Alessia, and I am a London-based fashion stylist, costume designer and creative spirit. My work sits where styling, costume and visual storytelling overlap, somewhere between intention and instinct. I love looks that behave like characters rather than outfits. My interest in styling began long before I understood it as a profession. Fashion was the entry point, but storytelling was always at the core.
My journey into styling was not linear. I began with my own clothing brand, fell deep into garment construction, got lost in costume design, and eventually opened my own atelier. Somewhere between sewing machines and fittings, styling took over. I approach styling the same way I approach art, with curiosity, humour and a slight disregard for rules.

Industry Experience & Challenges
Like most emerging stylists, my early challenges weren’t a lack of ideas, they were a lack of access. Limited resources, selective pulls and the classic chicken-and-egg problem of visibility constantly tested me. Luckily, my costume design skills saved more shoots than I can count. And when doors stayed firmly shut, I built something convincing enough that eventually, people opened them themselves.
Balancing creative vision with practical or commercial demands is always a negotiation, though I prefer to think of it as translation. I treat briefs as frameworks rather than boundaries. The client wants clarity, the
shoot needs cohesion, and I aim for
tension, surprise, and a touch
of the unexpected.
Collaboration, Shoots & Creative Teams
I have a trusted circle of collaborators who understand my rhythm and share the same vibe. At the same time, I love discovering new talent. Fresh energy and unexpected perspectives keep the creative process exciting.
I love working with talented creatives and the best teams; that’s what inspires me. For me, a shoot day is all about collaboration, where everyone brings their expertise and energy. This inspiration led me to launch my T-shirt collection, which you can see here: https://www.byalessia.com/category/tshirts
Vision, Influence & Aspirations
I do not have a single dream brand or publication. I am more drawn to projects than names. I would love to work in film, particularly in costume design, but only within worlds that feel iconic and visionary, such as ‘The Hunger’, ‘Blade Runner’, ‘The Fifth Element’, ‘Bram Stoker’s Dracula’, or ‘The Fall’. That level of storytelling and visual ambition truly excites me. I believe something truly genius is still waiting for me.

There are always new projects and ideas waiting to be expressed. Art is woven into every part of my life. Right now, my focus and passion are fully dedicated to launching new products that do not yet exist on the market. It is an exciting chapter, so definitely keep an eye out once they launch.
